Phase 2: Subjective Space

In the 2nd phase, we have designed a caravan for a famous artist (chef, musician, writer, or modern dancer) who will go on a worldwide tour to promote the feasibility and joy of living in a van especially after the pandemic. We have considered the problem of subjective space by working on the trials of a minimum space necessary for the artist's individual and professional lifestyles and provided him/her with comfort on a long journey by our design proposals. 

 

Aim: understanding the requirements of personal space by considering both the daily and professional needs of the user.

Requirements: design of personal space by analyzing the ergonomics, circulation, function, flexibility of use, light, privacy, semi-privacy, and living scenario of the artist (chef, musician, writer, or modern dancer).

 

Limitations: the dimensions of the van are 250 cm x 250 cm x 750 cm; the effects of natural light should be regarded; the personal and professional lives of the artist should be considered; the relationship between interior and exterior (when the van is parked) can be provided by movable surfaces.
